    Bath & District Samaritans consists of over 100 trained volunteers, available for anyone, of any age or walk of life, to contact for emotional support, in complete confidence. As well as helping operate a 24-hour Helpline, volunteers visit schools & colleges, work with local rail station staff, support patients, families and staff at the Bath RUH, and work with inmates at Leyhill Open Prison. There are regular Information evenings for anyone wanting to volunteer, or help with fund-raising. If you feel you need emotional support, you can contact them by phone, by SMS/text, by email, by letter, or by going into their office during the drop-in services times (see website for details).

    St John's Ambulance provide first aid cover to many local events, including theatre duties and annual events such as the Bath Half Marathon.
